Following the success of last year’s journey, we are excited to return for a second year of this extraordinary experience. The journey will be led by renowned Egyptologist and researcher Mohamed Ibrahim, whose decades of research and unique perspective have inspired travelers from around the world. He will be joined by expert Egyptologist and guide Ahmed Nady, whose knowledge and passion for ancient Egypt add tremendous value throughout the journey. With the careful planning and seamless support of Noha Mohamed and the Saba Tours team, this experience goes far beyond a traditional tour and will exceed anything you could possibly imagine.

We are also honored to welcome Dr. Manu Seyfzadeh as a special guest on this journey. A respected researcher, author, and speaker, Dr. Manu brings valuable insights and a unique perspective on ancient Egypt. His presence will add an exciting new dimension to an already extraordinary experience.

Trevor Grassi is an independent researcher, filmmaker, and expedition leader with a passion for Ancient Egypt and ancient civilizations. Through his documentaries, field investigations, and lectures, he has inspired travelers and researchers to explore Egypt from a fresh perspective.

As a Tour Leader, Trevor brings curiosity, enthusiasm, and engaging storytelling, creating an educational and unforgettable experience for every participant.

There will also be many exciting surprises throughout the tour, including exclusive Zoom sessions with world-renowned researchers. We always look forward to their fascinating talks and the valuable insights they share.

- Meet Saba Tours assistant (Saba’s assistant will hold a sign with the Saba logo, so he or she will welcome you and assist you with the visa and luggage.

- Then escort you to Saba’s van for your transfer to the hotel and assist you with check-in.

Day 02 (Wednesday Jan20)

Sakkara

- Breakfast at 6:30 AM onward 

- Drive to Sakkara at 8:00 AM 

 

- Visit Titi Pyramid

The Pyramid of Teti is famous for containing the earliest Pyramid Texts, sacred inscriptions carved on its walls to help the king reach the afterlife. These texts are among the oldest religious writings in the world.

 

- Visit Serapeum 

The Serapeum is an underground burial site in Saqqara, where the sacred Apis bulls were buried in massive granite sarcophagi. It dates to the New Kingdom and offers a mysterious and impressive look into ancient Egyptian religious practices.

 

- Visit the Step Pyramid Complex

 Visit the hospital area where the ancient Egyptians used to go there for healing energy when they visited the Step Pyramid Complex

 

- Private access to 2 visits in Sakkara 

1. Go under the Step Pyramid (from the Southern Entrance) Public visit.

2. Visit Southern tomb 

 

- Lunch at an amazing local house 

- Presentation at 7 - 9 PM

- Drive back to the hotel

Day 03 (Thursday Jan 21)

Giza Plateau & Private Visit to Sphinx enclosure & Sphinx Temple

- Breakfast at the hotel at 6:00 onward

- Drive to Giza Plateau at 7:30 AM 

 

- Drive to Sphinx enclosure 

- Private Visit to Sphinx enclosure 9 – 10 AM 

The Great Sphinx of Giza is one of the most iconic monuments in Egypt. One of the most memorable highlights will be your special access visit to the Great Sphinx. 

 

- Visit Valley temple 

The Valley Temple of Khafre is located near the Great Sphinx and the Pyramids of Giza. It was used for the mummification and purification rituals of the king before burial. 

 

- Private Visit to Sphinx Temple 11 – 12 PM 

- Visit Giza plateau 

Walk around the great pyramid to visit the ruins of the pyramid temple to see the basalt floor and the tool 

  marks over the ancient advances machine. 

 

- Optional Camel ride ($20): Enjoy an optional camel ride for a truly authentic desert adventure. 

 

- Lunch at BBQ restaurant

- Drive back to the hotel

Old Egyptian Museum & fly to Luxor

 See the Prediluvian Jars, Unfinished box & the Schist disc

- Drive to Cairo airport & fly to Luxor at 3:00 PM 

- Drive to the hotel in Luxor & check-in

Day 05 (Saturday Jan 23)

West bank & Hapu temple

- Breakfast at 6:30 AM onward

- Drive to the West Bank of Luxor at 8:00 AM

- Visit Hatshepsut Temple, which is a stunning mortuary temple built for Queen Hatshepsut, one of the few female pharaohs of Egypt.

- Visit The famouse Valley of the kings, The Valley of the Kings is one of the most famous archaeological sites in Egypt. It served as the royal burial ground for the pharaohs of the New Kingdom

 

- Optional Visit the Alabaster Factory (an alabaster workshop is a great place to see how traditional Egyptian stone crafts are made. You’ll watch skilled artisans’ hand-carve beautiful vases, statues, and other items from natural alabaster. It’s also a nice spot to buy unique souvenirs).

 

- Lunch 

 

- Drive to Habu temple 

While many visitors focus on the Valley of the Kings, Medinet Habu is often considered one of Luxor’s hidden treasures. Its remarkably preserved colours and reliefs allow us to experience the temple

- Visit Memnon Statues

Day 06 (Sunday Jan 24)

Dendera & Abydos

- Early Breakfast at 6:30 AM 

- Drive to Dendera at 7:15 AM (2 hr drive)

- Visit Hathor temple 

Hathor Temple is one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt. It is dedicated to the goddess Hathor, the goddess of love, beauty, and music. The temple features stunning astronomical ceilings, colourful reliefs, and the famous zodiac of Dendera.

 

- Drive to Abydos (2 hr drive)

- Lunch at delicious local house 

 

- Visit Seti first temple

The Temple of Seti I in Abydos is one of the most remarkable monuments of ancient Egypt. Built by Pharaoh Seti I and completed by his son Ramses II, it is dedicated to several deities, including Osiris, the god of the afterlife. The temple is renowned for its exquisite reliefs and vibrant colours, which are among the best-preserved in Egypt. It also houses the famous “Abydos King List,” an invaluable record of Egypt’s royal lineage.

- Private Visit to Osirion temple 3:5 PM

- Drive to Esna at 8:00 AM (1 hour drive)

- Visit Esna temple 

 Visit the beautifully restored Temple of Esna, dedicated to the ram-headed god Khnum. Admire its remarkably preserved hypostyle hall, intricate carvings, and vibrant astronomical ceiling.

- Drive back to the Nile Cruise & check-in

- Lunch at the Nile Cruise 

 

- Drive to Luxor temple & Visit Luxor temple at 05:00 PM 

Luxor Temple is a magnificent ancient temple located in the heart of the city. It was built mainly by Amenhotep III and Ramses II and was dedicated to the god Amun.

 

 

- Drive back to the Nile Cruise

- Dinner at the Nile Cruise

Karnak temple & Sailing

- Optional hot air ballon $150 A hot air balloon ride over Luxor is an unforgettable experience. At sunrise, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the Nile, the Valley of the Kings, temples, and the countryside from above. It’s one of the best ways to see the beauty of ancient Thebes from the sky.

- Breakfast at 6:00AM onward

- Visit Karnak temple at 8:30 AM

Drive to Karnak temple which is one of the largest temple complexes in the world. It was built over 2,000 years and dedicated mainly to the god Amun and visit the Open-air Museum at Karnak.

Private access to visit the chapel of 7 gates and 7 keys.

- Sailing to Esna then to Edfu

Edfu temple & Kom Ombo

- Edfu Temple is dedicated to Horus, the falcon god. It is one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt, with beautiful carvings and impressive architecture from the Ptolemaic period.

- Visit Kom Ombo temple on foot, this temple is a unique double temple dedicated to two gods: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder.

Day 10 (Thursday Jan 28)

Phila Island & Unfinished Obelisk & Elephantine Island

- Breakfast at 06:00 AM

- Drive to Phila Island 

- Take motorboat to sail to Philae Island

- Visit Isis temple 

The Temple of Isis is one of the most beautiful and well-preserved temples in Egypt. 

 

- Drive to the Unfinished Obelisk 

The Unfinished Obelisk in Aswan is the largest known ancient obelisk. It was carved directly into the bedrock but was never completed due to cracks in the stone. The site gives a unique insight into ancient Egyptian stone-cutting techniques and tools.

 

 

- Lunch at the Nile Cruise 

 

- Take the motorboat to Elephantine Island at 3:00 PM

Elephantine Island is a magical and historic gem in Aswan, rich with ancient ruins, Nubian culture, and breathtaking views of the Nile, a place where history and beauty come together in perfect harmony, and to visit Satet temple and Khenom temple

 

- Sail back to the Nile Cruise

- Dinner at Nile Cruise

- Overnight at the Nile Cruise

 

 

Day 11 (Friday Jan 29)

Visit Simbel OR Nubian Museum & Small Isis temple

- Drive to Abu Simbel at 5:00AM (4 hours’ drive)

Abu Simbel is one of the most extraordinary monuments of ancient Egypt, built by Ramses II to demonstrate his power and divine status. The Great Temple is famous for its four colossal, seated statues of the king carved directly into the rock.

Dahshur is an ancient royal necropolis south of Cairo, known for its unique pyramids. It is home to the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid, both built by King Snefru. These pyramids show the early evolution of pyramid construction in ancient Egypt.

- Visit the Grand Egyptian Museum 

The Grand Egyptian Museum is the largest archaeological museum in the world, located near the Pyramids of Giza.
